Welcome

Homestead definition:  A homestead is an isolated dwelling, especially a farmhouse, and adjacent outbuildings, typically on a large agricultural holding such as a ranch or station

Agriculture definition:  Cultivating a piece of land, or planting and growing food plants on it

Permaculture: is an approach to land management and settlement design that adopts arrangements observed in flourishing natural ecosystems. It includes a set of design principles derived using whole-systems thinking

Why Homestead?

Some how we have lost sight of what our food should be. Humans have altered and manipulated our foods DNA, this means that our food is not the same as it was and as a result we have more evidence that our food is making us sick.

When I go grocery shopping I always look at the ingredients and research if those ingredients are healthy for us. Most man-made products are not generally healthy for us and can cause horrible illnesses. I do not want to HAVE to read the ingredients!

Growing my own food, the same food I will feed my family and share with those I care for makes sense to me! I want my fellow beings to be healthy, nurtured and having their needs met. All beings have the following needs: Physical, mental/ emotional and nutritional. Homesteading allows me to create a reality that I am proud to raise my kids in.
